Camp JosiahCamp Josiah is a ministry of Tri-State Family Christian Center. We are a nonprofit, non-denominational overnight camp with a focus on reaching at risk youth.
Changing lives...Camp Josiah values the role it has in preparing young people to meet the challenges that lie ahead by encouraging positive growth. The sound physical, emotional, social, and spiritual development of each camper is our priority. A summer camp experience can have a strong influence on a young person's life.
Many of our campers are in foster care, single parent homes, have incarcerated parents or siblings, and live in high poverty neighborhoods. We offer 4 day sessions giving campers a chance to enjoy themselves and bring home lifelong memories!
Camp Josiah is designed for children ages 8 -12. Eight children and two counselors make up each cabin. The children are grouped in cabins by age. They attend fun filled classes during the day and enjoy special activities and chapel each night. The end of each session is commemorated with a special award ceremony where we present each camper with a certificate highlighting the potential we see in them along with a bible verse for encouragement. |

"At Risk" is a concept that reflects a chance or probability. It does not imply certainty. Risk factors raise the chance of poor outcomes. At Camp Josiah we aim to be a protective factor, aiding and intervening with the love of Jesus Christ in the lives of these children.
